Welcome to the Highgrove Social Committees web site where you can find information on activities that are happening in our neighborhood. We have some new events lined up for this year as well as continuing with our yearly Easter, Halloween and Christmas festivities. Previous Events Caroling for a Cause - Our Christmas fund raiser was a big success! Thank you to everyone who participated with your generous contributions. Our community was able to donate $680 and a large box full of toys to the Toys for Tots organization. We should all feel good in knowing that we helped provide a Christmas for children who would otherwise have had nothing. Unfortunately, the weather on the 12th was not conducive to caroling that was planned and that part of the event had to be canceled. However, the rest of the festivities carried on as scheduled at the clubhouse. Several families joined us for cookies and cocoa, visiting with Santa and greeting the Marines who came to collect the donations. We shared some laughs with dads decorated as Christmas trees and a team marshmallow race along with singing some traditional Christmas carols. The holiday spirit was indeed present. Upcoming Events No Events Scheduled Groups Moms Group/ Playgroup - Are you a stay-at-home mom in our community, if so, then this group may be for you. Time - every Friday (except school holidays) from 10:30am-noon Place - Highgroves clubhouse or other previously determined venue New members are always welcome. To join the group or to obtain more information, please contact the social committee at highgrovesocial@gmail.com. Future Events/Groups Womens Bunko - It's a game that is all about fun not skill. We need at least 12 ladies to get the group started and having alternates is always good. The group would meet on one evening a month at the clubhouse for socializing, food and of course, the game. If you are interested in being a charter member, please let us know by sending an email to the social committee. If you would like to be a part of planning activities for our community, please email the social committee. How much you choose to help is up to you. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
